As I am writing this Viktor is sound asleep, that gives me at least some time to write another blog post. Later this afternoon we are going for a walk and practice standing-up again! Since he has mastered crawling, we are working on the next step, literally ;)! By the way, we are proud to say Vik says “mama” and “papa” now. It makes me jump for joy every time! So many pictures were taken last month and I can’t wait to share with you again some of our great memories!Read More
Some time has passed again and when writing this title I realised again: Our baby boy is getting big! I sometimes doubt if he is still a baby… I mean, he is getting SO big! When do babies fall into the category toddler anyway? He can sit, crawl, make the cutest dadada sounds and his clothes are getting this big that I actually have to iron them. We took him on his very first bike ride, he now eats a sandwich daily and yesterday even spaghetti – although he didn’t manage to keep that in. OH, and big news: He has teeth! Five of them! We are crazy proud of him. Everyday is like a little mircale. Here are some memories of the past weeks… Read More
Shame on me! It’s been almost 12 weeks since I’ve updated the blog. All due to busy schedules and mainly because I ‘ve faced the world without a laptop for quite some time. I’ve moved over to a new job and unfortunately I was patiently waiting on a new device… This post below I managed to write down some weeks ago, but actually hitting that publish button was still one bridge to far… I definitely haven’t sat still and neither has our baby boy, literally that is. In the meanwhile he has learned to roll over and sit up straight. He is our little miracle worker!Read More
This year we decided to join our friends and their children for a vacation. Me and The Boyfriend anyways love to go camping and when the proposal came to rent a bungalow in the Ardèche we eagerly said yes! Although the camping site wouldn’t have been in my top 5 BBE (Before Baby era) I must say this Sunelia camping has been one of the best campings I’ve ever been! Everything was so extremely clean, as if no-one ever slept in that bungalow before. The camping had everything we desired so after 10 days we happily turned back home.
Our car was absolutely filled with crap we just had to drag along, so to save you the trouble, here ‘s a list with absolute necessities you need to bring when camping. And of course all the other ‘necessities’ you want to drag along, just in case you have 5 square inch left. Read More
It’s been busy and I’m running 2 weeks behind my monthly overview! Sorry ’bout that! Six weeks have passed since the last overview and our baby boy has reached up to 7kg and about 64cm. Crazy huh! He’s our chubby little dude! We’re also just back from our holiday in France and my phone is loaded with swimpool pictures! Although it was 42 C° in the Ardèche, Belgium is not doing bad either. We’re all locked up inside because it’s too damn hot to handle the outdoors. While we’re all trying to cool down I’ll entertain you with some refreshing pictures!Read More
Okay, the little one isn’t even 4 months old. Yes, he can’t walk. But he can kick, a bit. So it’s important he has some stylish shoes to go with that cool outfit! I’m completely obsessed lately with the mini me sneakers trend. Can I just buy all shoes in every size, please? I’ve already laid my eyes on some VANS, but these next ones are certainly runner-ups! Oh, and add some for me too on top. Thanks.Read More
Second overview is online! How the months have passed.. Can’t believe I’m heading back to work next week! In the beginning I really missed my daily tasks, but once I found this new routine, I felt like I could stay home forever :-). We’re lucky that he sleeps through the night in the meanwhile. That is, we feed him the last bottle at 20h, put him in bed, and wake him up again for a dreamfeeding around midnight. When the Boyfriend wakes up around 6 in the morning, we wake him again. I’m thankful for the sleep we get, because he already grew so much!Read More
Our little one is now almost sleeping through the night. And with ‘almost’ I mean he sleeps 7 hours in a row. Problem is, he sleeps those 7 starting from 8 PM to 4 AM. He’s got things all mixed up. I’m still waking up in the middle of the night to feed him. For the moment I’m still at home but in 2 weeks I have to get back to the office. It’s time to shake things up so I’ve made a template to track his feedings better and to possibly move them.Read More
4 More weeks before I have to return to work. At first I really couldn’t get used to be home, but now.. honestly, can I prettyplease stay home :-)? I finally found the perfect rhythm. Me and the baby are going everywhere. There’s no stopping us. Plus, Vik is doing great outside, I can take him anywhere *knockonwood*. Here’s what I loved last week:
DIY vase ♥ Sweet potatoes ♥ A fully booked agenda ♥ The young bird’s nest in our garden ♥ Wrapping gifts ♥ Manicures ♥ Spending the afternoon with a colleague ♥ Rosé wine ♥ Felix pakhuis ♥ Night out with close friends ♥ Ironed bed sheets ♥ Wisteria ♥ Our 7 year anniversary coming up ♥ Building our own Lego family ♥ Making faces with our Baby boy ♥ Just do nothing for one day ♥ Breakfast on Sundays ♥ Home made bread-pudding ♥ Planning a weekend trip ♥ A warm bath ♥
So, how was your week?
Like most parents-to-be we immediately knew which room would become the nursery for our baby boy. So when I learnt I was pregnant I immediately started pinning for inspiration. The room had to be ready in time! Viktor is now almost 3 months old and we’re planning to keep him in our room until he’s 6 months old. Good thing we were in a hurry ;-)! The biggest pieces are already in place, but until today I’m still looking for nice accessories to fill up all the space. Click ‘Read More’ to see how the nursery looks like right now. Read More
